About this course
Master Scuba Diver Trainer
Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) shows that you can teach a wide range of PADI specialty courses, which makes you more employable at resorts, liveaboards and dive centres.
A common route is IDC, then the Instructor Examination, then Specialty Instructor training. Once you hold five Specialty Instructor ratings and have certified 25 PADI divers, you apply to PADI for the MSDT rating.
We can combine several specialties in one visit so you build your portfolio efficiently.
Course structure
Stage 1
Specialty instructor training
Five PADI Specialty Instructor ratings of your choice, taught by the Course Director: course standards, knowledge development and practical sessions for each.
5 specialties
Stage 2
Teaching practice
Plan and present specialty dives, with feedback on control, safety and how to make each specialty appealing to students.
Open water
Stage 3
Certify 25 divers
Once you have certified 25 PADI divers, apply for the Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating - we help you build your experience.
