HSA Instructor: Professional and Personal Growth for the IDC Sardegna Team
18 May 2024 · ⏱ 1 min read

An important milestone for IDC Sardegna: four of our instructors have recently qualified as HSA Instructors, joining team members trained in previous years and strengthening the team.
A unique training experience
The HSA Instructor course is a highly qualifying programme that gives dive instructors the skills to teach and certify divers with disabilities. It is a chance to broaden your professional knowledge and also a deeply valuable human experience.
Growth and awareness
Participants explored the topics surrounding different disabilities in both theory and practice, learning about the varied needs and challenges that divers with disabilities face. This built greater sensitivity and awareness, along with the tools to create a safe, inclusive learning environment for everyone.
HSA: a pioneer of inclusive diving
HSA (Handicapped Scuba Association) is a leading organisation in inclusive diving. For more than 35 years it has promoted diving for people with disabilities, giving them the opportunity to enjoy unique, enriching experiences underwater.
An invitation to all dive instructors
Our instructors' HSA qualification is an important step towards diving that is more inclusive and accessible to all. We invite every dive instructor, whatever their training agency, to consider this course: it will enrich you professionally and personally and let you make a difference in many people's lives.
