Questions

What is the EFR Instructor course?

It qualifies you to teach Emergency First Response first aid and CPR courses, using EFR's lesson guides and skill coaching.

What can I teach as an EFR Instructor?

EFR Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and first aid), Care for Children and related courses - to divers and non-divers alike.

Who can enroll in the EFR Instructor course?

Anyone 18 or older with first aid and CPR training from the last 24 months.

How long does the EFR Instructor course take?

One to two days, depending on the group and whether you need a first aid refresher first.

Do I need EFR Instructor for the PADI IDC?

First aid and CPR training is required to become an instructor, and our IDC includes a dedicated EFR Instructor day, so most candidates certify as EFR Instructors at the same time.

You complete an EFR Primary and Secondary Care update before or alongside the instructor course.

Can I teach EFR outside the diving industry?

How do I register for the EFR Instructor course?

Book your dates on the course page, or contact us and we'll confirm your prerequisites and send a checklist.

“I did the IDC with them and everything was truly fantastic. They're professional, helpful, and ready to help you both with the course and if you have any issues with the equipment. They truly take care of every detail. Luckily, I don't have to do it again 😄 ✌🏼, but if I did, I'd definitely choose them again.”
