The PADI Specialty Instructor courses at IDC Sardegna are designed for those looking to expand their expertise across various diving specialties.
Each course offers high-quality theoretical and practical training, providing the opportunity to develop new skills while exploring the underwater world in greater depth and with enhanced safety.
The PADI EFR Instructor course (Emergency First Response Instructor) is designed to train instructors who are capable of teaching Emergency First Response (EFR) certified first aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) courses.
This course is essential for those who want to professionally teach first aid and resuscitation skills to both divers and non-divers.
During the course, students will learn how to manage emergencies, recognise signs of medical emergencies, and apply appropriate techniques to handle critical situations. Once certified, PADI EFR instructors will be able to conduct first aid and CPR courses to train other divers and community members, thereby increasing safety and emergency preparedness in any context.

For PADI MSDTs looking to advance to PADI IDC Staff Instructor, the journey includes:
Remote e-Learning sessions, scheduled with the Course Director before the IDC begins.
Active participation in the full theoretical segment of the IDC, working closely with the Course Director.
Active participation in the full practical segment of the IDC, under the guidance of the Course Director.

Crossover to PADI OWSI with IDC Sardegna
IDC Sardegna welcomes instructors from other recreational diving organizations who wish to obtain their PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) certification. Thanks to PADI’s special "all-inclusive" offer, this transition is both seamless and cost-effective.
The Crossover Program requires candidates to complete the full IDC, ensuring a deep understanding of PADI’s teaching system – The way the world learns to dive.

First Aid Instructor Requirement
To become a PADI OWSI, you must hold a valid First Aid Instructor certification.
PADI offers the Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor program. If you do not have an equivalent certification from another organization, you will need to complete the EFR Instructor course as part of your crossover.
