Prima Spiaggia - Golfo Aranci's "first beach" - sits right by the village's harbour on the north-east coast of Sardinia, with over 400 metres of gently sloping, fine golden sand facing south-west into clear, calm water. Its easy, gradual shore entry and sheltered position make it one of the most convenient spots in the area for scuba training. For IDC Sardegna, that combination of calm water and easy access is exactly what confined and shallow open-water sessions need: students can wade in gradually, build confidence close to shore, and practise core skills without fighting current or surge. The clear, shallow water close to the beach also makes it a natural spot for Discover Scuba Diving try-dives and the early stages of Open Water certification. Once the fundamentals are covered, Prima Spiaggia's location puts students within easy reach of Golfo Aranci's better-known dive sites around Capo Figari and Figarolo island, so the transition from shore-based training to proper Sardinian open-water diving is a short one. It's a genuinely pleasant place to start a diving course - a real beach, warm Mediterranean water, and instructors close at hand throughout.
